The overall condition of the helmet is used but good. It has a lovely patina and still contains 85% of it's original factory paint and some remnants of the camouflage color it once had. The decal is for 75% intact. It's complete with its original liner and the 3 liner rivets are in place and not messed with. The leather of the liner is supple and shows signs of wear. The liner is size marked on the inside.
The chin strap is in used condition (short strap is missing), and has 1 repair in the middle. The leather of the strap is supple and the tip is marked, but to hard to read.
The shell is marked with serial number '405' in the neck and with 'SE64' which means it was produced by 'Sächsische Emaillier- und Stanzwerke A.G., from Lauter, Sachen, Germany', size'64'.
